This campus is located in southwestern mainland British Columbia, which is approximately 180 km long. On the Sunshine Coast campus, class sizes are small and allow for close and personal connections between faculty and students. Eight certificate courses are offered here. International students are non-Canadian students who do not have permanent resident status and require a study permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). To meet the admission requirements, applicants to the Advanced Placement Program (AP) must successfully complete a high school diploma (or equivalent). Students must submit official high school and university or college transcripts for admission. *Apostille countries refer to an international form of notary seal certified by the Hague Convention. These would be official notarized documents from countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc. and can be accepted in place of the original or school-certified documents. International Student Registration Fee: 135 cad international students are eligible for admission to Capilano University if they have obtained the equivalent high school diploma (Grade 12) in British Columbia. British Columbia high school students applying to Capilano University are not required to submit optional provincial exam results for university admission. However, students must have passed written provincial examinations in each subject in which it is mandatory to meet the requirements of the British Columbia Diploma Program. For students who have already completed post-secondary education in Canada or abroad, even if you have submitted a digital copy of your transcripts on EducationPlannerBC, you must submit official university or college transcripts for transfer credits. If the university then decides that you need additional instruction in English, you will be asked to take an English exam tailored to the area of the program you wish to enroll in.
