Michael J. Herling is the Lead Director of the Company. Prior to his appointment as Lead Director, Mr. Herling served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company from 2016 to May 2022. He is a founding partner of Finn Dixon & Herling LLP, a law firm providing corporate, transactional, securities, investment management, credit, tax, compensation and social services and litigation advisory services. He has held this position since 1987. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Colgate University. M. Herling has extensive legal experience representing corporate and institutional clients and their boards of directors, with a focus on strategic initiatives and complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and financings, as well as experience in corporate governance, risk monitoring, audit, management and executive compensation. Mr. Herling has been a director of The Brink`s Company since 2009. His current term as a director of the Company ends in 2023. Mike Beech is Executive Vice President of Brink`s and President of Latin America and Global Security.
Previously, Mike was President of the company`s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Mike joined Brink`s in 2009 as Vice President, Global Security. In 2011, he became President of Brink`s Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Brink`s, Mike served 25 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a colonel. Mike holds a bachelor`s degree from Norwich University in Vermont. He holds a master`s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College and a master`s degree in military arts and science from the School of Advanced Military Studies. Daniel is responsible for overseeing the company`s North American operating segment. Prior to joining Brink`s, Daniel served as Executive Vice President and President for North America at JELD-WEN, Inc., one of the world`s largest manufacturers of building products, from 2020 to May 2022. Daniel joined JELD-WEN in February 2018 as Senior Vice President, North America – Doors. Previously, Daniel served as President of Cree Lighting from 2016 to 2017 and between 2001 and 2015, he held various positions at Cooper Industries and Cooper Lighting in various positions of increasing responsibility. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University Business School and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University. Tim Tynan is the former CEO of Banc of America Merchant Services LLC, one of the largest payment processing organizations in the United States, where he worked from May 2014 to February 2021.
Previously, Mr. Tynan held various leadership positions at Citigroup from 2001 to 2014, including in Tokyo, Japan, where he served as Managing Director and Regional Head of the Transaction Services Division from 2012 to 2014. He also served as Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee of Citibank Japan Ltd. Tynan began his career at IBM Corporation and has held various leadership positions in sales and marketing, product development, service and customer relationship management. Mr. Tynan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Chargeback Gurus (provider of chargeback prevention and retrieval services for e-commerce payments), a privately held company of Falfurrias Capital Partners for which Mr. Tynan is a consultant. Lord. Tynan brings to the Board valuable experience in FinTech and Digital Payments, particularly in merchant acquisition, business integration and technology, as well as general management experience, including financial reporting, procurement, HR operations and compliance.
